This overnight drive starts from the previous delivery in Findlay, OH via local streets to I-75. Then North on I-75 to US-6 in Bowling Green. Then West on US-6 to the Love's Truck Stop in Napoleon, OH where Steve ends for the day.

We resume from near Greens Fork, IN via I-70. Then East on I-70 (Dwight D. Eisenhower Hwy.) thru Richmond and into Ohio and eventually into the Dayton, OH Metro Area to I-75. Then North on I-75 thru Lima to the Speedway Truck Stop in Beaverdam, OH to take a 2 hour break to await for his delivery appt. Then after that, we head North on I-75 to local streets. Then on local streets to delivery in Findlay, OH where Steve does a live unload.

We resume from near Greenville, IL via I-70. Then East on I-70 (Dwight D. Eisenhower Hwy.) thru Effingham (while merging with I-57) and into Indiana and thru Terre Haute and into the Indianapolis Metro Area and thru Indianapolis (while passing by Indianapolis Int'l Airport, Downtown Indianapolis and Lucas Oil Stadium [Home of the NFL's Indianapolis Colts], with a good shot of Downtown Indianapolis and while merging with I-65) to near Greens Fork, IN where the stream crashes again.

So we had: (1) A Casey's truck in Casey, Illinois (2) A bobtail truck towing a bobtail truck In this particular stream. In the follow up stream after this one konked out, we had: Someone named "Ana" coming into the chat as Steve was passing through Anna, Ohio. Today must have been National Irony Day.

Part 2 of the Canada Day Special resumes from near Divernon, IL via I-55. Then South on I-55 into the St. Louis Metro Area to I-270. Then West on I-270 (St. Louis Bypass) to IL-255. Then North on IL-255 to the shipper in Edwardsville, IL (Suburb of St. Louis) for a preloaded trailer...but there's just one problem. The shipper wants proof (like a receipt) of the empty trailer being washed, so we get on some local streets to the Blue Beacon Truck Wash in Pontoon Beach, IL (Suburb of St. Louis) for a trailer washout. Then back onto local streets to get back to the shipper in Edwardsville, IL (Suburb of St. Louis) for a preloaded trailer, THIS TIME we successfully got the preloaded trailer. After we were done, we head back onto local streets to the Pilot Truck Stop in Granite City, IL (Suburb of St. Louis) where Steve ends for the day.

On this episode of the BigRigTravels Original Series: Bobtail Bob: The Season Premiere/Canada Day Special starts from the BRT World HQ in Belvidere, IL to US-20. Then West on US-20 to I-39 in Rockford. Then South on I-39 thru LaSalle-Peru to I-88. Then West on I-88 (Ronald Reagan Memorial Tollway) briefly to local streets. Then on local streets to a customer in Rochelle, IL to pick up an empty trailer. Then after doing so, we head back onto local streets to get back to I-88. Then East on I-88 (Ronald Reagan Memorial Tollway) briefly to get back to I-39. Then back South on I-39 to I-55 in Normal. Then South on I-55 thru Bloomington (while merging with I-74), Lincoln and Springfield (while merging with I-72) to near Divernon, IL where the stream crashes.

I stay here in Joilet/Chicago but I been down to St Louis lotsa times. Steve went down to what they call down there the "metro east", which is what they call the Illinois suburbs of St Louis. I have always found it weird that the Missouri side of St Louis and the Illinois side of St Louis feel like whole different worlds. The northwest Indiana suburbs of Chicago don't feel any different than the ones right across the line in Illinois. Maybe it's because IL-IN is just a line, compared to MO-IL being a whole river, meaning that you have to go across on bridges.

Dumb question. When truckers are home, where do they park their trucks? They certainly can't put them in their garages or their house's driveway, presuming they have either. And I don't think they let you park them on residential streets like regular cars. Most likely when truckers are home their trucks are bobtail, which makes things easier. But I presume they're parked somewhere. My guess is that truckers have some sort of arrangement with a lot in town, or a nearby truck stop if one is close, with a long term parking spot lease agreement.
